‘‘The Red Rose" Book Preface:
Luna Nusrat Areebah's Mom I started writing fiction in pencil in 2017. I wrote my first novel Shodh as a series story and got positive responses from the readers. The book Shodh is an early publication of Pencil Publications in 2018. And in the continuation of this, my second novel titled Oronner Din Oronner Raat was published in 2020. My daughter, Areebah used to pay close attention to me during my writing. She used to ask questions. What am I writing? Why am I writing? What's the story? Thousands of such questions in her mind. Then, one day she suddenly wrote a story in a diary and showed it to me. She may not have maturity in word choice, syntax in the story, but she had an impression of imagination and thoughtfulness in the content of the story. I posted her stories in the Pencil group. Everyone appreciated and wished her good luck. I read the comments to her. The encouragement and compliments inspired her to write more. She kept writing and her first book is being published from Pencil Publications with these short stories! Her writing started with Pencil, just like me. It's hard to imagine how happy this coincidence is. She is not mature enough from a writer's perspective. However, we believe that she will write better if she gets encouragement and love from everyone. This commendable initiative of Pencil Publications is to bring forth her favorite things in front of everyone. So, I and my whole family sincerely thank everyone involved with Pencil and Pencil Publications.
