About Subroto Bagchi Subroto Bagchi is an author, business leader, and entrepreneur. Bagchi has written MBA at 16: A Teenager’s Guide To The World of Business, The Elephant Catchers: Key Lessons For Breakthrough Growth, and The High Performance Entrepreneur: Golden Rules For Success In Today’s World. Bagchi was born on the 31st of May, 1957, in Patnagarh, Odisha. He completed his degree in Political Science from Utkal University. He was trained with the Parachute Regiment, carried out by the Indian Army, and finished all five mandatory steps, earning the “Para Wings”. In 1975, Bagchi was declared the Best NCC Cadet of India in Delhi during the Republic Day Parade, and he was awarded the Cane Honor. He also co-founded Mindtree along with 9 other individuals. Subroto Bagchi (Born 31 May 1959) is an Indian entrepreneur and business leader. He is the co-founder of Mindtree, an Indian technology MNC. He has autobiographed his life story in his book Go Kiss the World. Bagchi was born to Makhan Gopal Bagchi and Labonya Prova Bagchi in Patnagarh, Odisha, where his father was a junior government servant. He studied Political Science at Utkal University.[1] In 1974, he underwent training with the Parachute Regiment of the Indian Army and successfully completed the 5 mandatory jumps to earn the "Para Wings". In 1975, he was adjudged the Best NCC Cadet of India at the Republic Day Parade in Delhi where he was awarded the Prime Minister's Cane Honor.
