In the past few years, Islamic books have grown in a huge number in Bangladesh. A lot of them are authentic and original writings from the authors of Bangladesh and a lot of them are translated from Arabic, Urdu and also English. In this Ekushe Bookfair 2020, the best selling book and the best selling Islamic books collide together. A lot of people are considering this as a silent revolution in our country. People from non-Islamic backgrounds and non-Muslims are also interested in these best selling Islamic books. They are very much informative and thought-provoking. A wide range of best Islamic books in English are also available nowadays. Today’s Muslim readers are basically from young university going people. These people were not Islamic minded before not they have a strong Islamic environment around them. A lot of them cannot even read Arabic fluently. So their thirst for knowledge can be filled with the best Islamic books in English. It’s also true that the enjoyment one will get by reading the actual book will never be the same as the translated one. But as many other readers of Bangladesh are still not very much found of English books so it is being a necessity to translate them in Bangla. Another surprising fact is some of the translation from these best Islamic books in English are being best selling Islamic books in Bangla. This also gives us the understanding that we don’t only need good author but also good translators and a good translator is a good author too. By this translation works, we can remove the language barriers of reading a good book to the reader. But some publications and translators often translate a book and publish them without the permission of the actual author and without sharing him any commission, and eventually, these books price are low. But this is clearly a crime which Islam never support. So they avoid this not only for the Islamic books but all other books.
