Dr. Abu Ameenah Bilal Philips is a reverted Jamaican Canadian Muslim who lives in Qatar and founder of Islamic Online University (IOU). He converted in Islam from Christianity in the early seventies when he turned into Christianity to communism. As a Muslim, he started his journey in thirst for Islamic knowledge from Saudi Arabia to the UK. He completed his BA in Islamic studies in Madeenah and MA in Islamic Theology in Riyadh and his Ph.D. from Univesity of Wales, the UK in Islamic Theology. After his graduation, he started his career as a teacher in UAE for 10 years. He is the author of more than 50 books on Islamic topics. Dr. Bilal Philip books on the Eemaan reading series for children are very famous. He has done many TV programs as well.
