অর্জুন (Arjun) গুঁড়া মূলত অর্জুন গাছের ছাল বা বাকলের শুকনো গুঁড়া। অর্জুন গাছ সাধারণত স্যাঁতস্যাঁতে দোঁআশ মাটিতে হয়। নানান উপকারী স্বাস্থ্য গুণাগুণ এর জন্য ভেষজ শাস্ত্রে এর ব্যবহার হয়ে আসছে যুগ যুগ ধরে। কথিত আছে বাড়িতে একটি অর্জুন গাছ থাকা আর চিকিৎসক থাকা একই কথা। চমৎকার স্বাস্থ্যগুণ সম্পন্ন এই গাছের আদি নিবাস বাংলাদেশ, ভারত, পাকিস্তান এবং শ্রীলঙ্কায়। বাংলাদেশের বেশিরভাগ অঞ্চলেই ঝাকড়া এই গাছের দেখা মিলে। ১৮ থেকে ২৫ মিটার উচ্চতা বিশিষ্ট এই গাছের ডালগুলো নিচের দিকে ঝুলানো থাকে। আর পাতাগুলো দেখতে অনেকটা মানুষের জিহ্বা আকৃতির, ফলগুলো পাঁচ খাঁজ বিশিষ্ট অনেকটা কামরাঙার মতন। ছাল খুব মোটা এবং ধূসর বর্ণের। এই ছাল আলাদা করে রৌদ্রে শুকিয়েই প্রস্তুত করা হয় অর্জুন গুঁড়া।
অর্জুনের উপকারিতাঃ
১। উচ্চ রক্তচাপ কমায়।
২। কোলেস্টেরল নিয়ন্ত্রণে রাখে। পাশাপাশি লিপিড ও থাইরয়েড হরমোন নিয়ন্ত্রণ করে।
৩। বিপাক ক্রিয়া ত্বরান্বিত করে।
৪। পাকস্থলীর আলসার নিরাময়ে ভূমিকা রাখে।
৫। ক্যালসিয়াম জনিত কারণে কিডনিতে পাথর হওয়ার সমস্যা নিরাময়ে এটি ব্যবহৃত হয়।
৬। ক্ষত বা ঘা নিরাময় করতে ব্যবহার করা হয়।
৭। কানের ব্যাথায় এটি ভালো কাজে দেয়।

যেভাবে গ্রহণ করবেন অর্জুন গুঁড়া
এক গ্লাস পানিতে এক চা চামচ গুঁড়া বেশ কিছুক্ষণ রেখে পান করতে হবে। চাইলে রাতে ভিজিয়ে রেখে সকালেও পান করা যায়। এক্ষেত্রে খালি পেট বা ভরা পেটে পান করার কোন বাধ্যবাধকতা নেই।
