পেশায় একজন ডিজাইনার হলেও তিনি নিজেকে একজন আর্টিস্ট ও ডিজাইনার হিসেবেই পরিচয় দিতে বেশি সাচ্ছন্দ বোধ করেন। শিল্প ও সংস্কৃতির অঞ্চল ব্রাহ্মণবাড়িয়ার তিতাস পাড়ে তার বড় হওয়া। বাবা চিত্রশিল্পী আখতারুজ্জামান এর কাছে তার ছবি আঁকার হাতেখড়ি। ছোটবেলা থেকেই পড়ালেখার চাইতে ছবি আঁকার প্রতি ছিল তার বেশি নেশা। তিনবার জাতীয় শিশু চিত্রাঙ্কনে পুরস্কার লাভ করেন। এর মাঝে একবার তিনি অর্জন করেন স্বর্ণপদক। আন্তর্জাতিক পর্যায়েও তিনি রৌপ্যপদক লাভ করেন ভারত থেকে। ইউনিভার্সিটি অব ডেভেলপমেন্ট অল্টারনেটিভ (UODA) এর চারুকলা বিভাগ থেকে তিনি অনার্স করেন ড্রইং এন্ড পেইন্টিং সাবজেক্টে। ডিজাইন এর পাশাপাশি তিনি স্বাধীন ভাবে ছবি আঁকতে বেশ ভালবাসেন।
