Product Specification & Summary

Every state has the duty to promote access to justice to its people. As a ratifying country of all the major international legal instruments and obligation under the constitution, Bangladesh has the responsibility to promote access to justice to all including garment workers.
Thus this book explores how far Bangladesh has taken steps for the advancement of garment workers access to justice in line with international standard, what has yet to be done and what should be done for its further development. To determine these, this book tries to find out the gap in garment workers access to justice in comparison to recently developed global standards of access to justice and suggestions have also been made with the same yardsticks.
If the suggestions are taken into consideration it will help to lead better productivity of the garment industry as well as expediting sustainable economic growth of the country with recognition and clean image. Again the book will contribute to the socio-economic development and establishing rule of law in the country. Because, if the proper access to justice has been ensured for the garment workers there will be a social stability, harmony and tranquility in lieu of the unwanted movements and demonstrations.
This book is the outcome of my PhD thesis entitled "Access to Justice of the Garment Workers in Bangladesh: Bridging the Gap between Domestic and Global Practices." I am greatly indebted to Professor Dr. Biswajit Chanda and Professor Dr. Mizanur Rahman for their dedicated guidance, advice and support.
I have been constantly benefited from their expertise. My discussion with them helped me develop my arguments and sharpen my thoughts.
