Summary of the Book
After her son's death, a grieving Mary is in exile. Her only refuge are her memories of the single source of joy in her past: her son Jesus of Nazarath. A figure shrouded in as much mystery as her son, Mary is shown to readers as a mother beleaguered by the death of her son, someone she perceived as having been betrayed by the people around him, and someone who could be hurt, despite the names others began to call him in later times.
