Product Specification & Summary

INTRODUCTION
The human brain is arguably the most complex organ in the human body. The mysteries of the brain have intrigued mankind since ancient days. At a time as early as around 4th-6th century BC, great Indian sages, Sushruta and Charaka had described the pathology, clinical features, and treatment of various neurological disorders, like epilepsy, hemiplegia, delirium, dementia, paralysis of face, and various diseases of the nerves in their texts-Sushruta Samhita and Charaka Samhita. Sushruta had also performed documented surgeries including plastic surgery. Such is the glorious legacy of ancient India to Ayurveda. The Egyptians are credited with the first written accounts of anatomy of the brain, meninges, and cerebrospinal fluid (CSF). The ancient Egyptian document popularly known as "Edwin Smith Papyrus" contains details of head injuries with references to the brain (the term "brain" appears seven times in the document of an Egyptian surgeon, 1700 BC) without any mention of the word "nerve".
