Dr. M. Nurul Islam Manjur received his Masters with Honors in Islamic History and Culture from the University of Dhaka, Bangladesh. Dr. Manjur received his Phd. Degree from the University of Dhaka in the year 1994. He joined as an Officer in the Department of Archaeology and Museums in 1983. Then he joined as a Lecturer in the Department of Islamic History & Culture in the Rajshahi University. In 1988 he joined in the Jahangirnagar University and now he is professor of the department of history. So far he authored (1) Dinajpur in the liberation war, (2) Barisal in the liberation war, (3) Kasba in the liberation war (4) Ram Mohan Roy and the Bengali Society in the 19th Century,(5) Partition of Bengal and the Muslim League (6) Trends and the development of the Bengali Muslims in the 20th century (7) History of the liberation war of Bangladesh (8) Development of historiography in Bengal 1901-1950 from Mowla brothers, Agami Prokashani, Samatat Prokashani and Bangla Academy.
