Meer Mahbubul Alam served as a professor of Biostatistics in North East University, Bangladesh Open University and Sylhet MAG Osmani Medical College. He was the Head of the department of Surgery and Dean, School of Medical Sciences, Shahjalal University of Science and Technology, Sylhet.
