Artemis Fowl And The Eternity Code is the third book in the series, in which Artemis lets a supercomputer fall into the hands of a criminal and now has to find ways to stop the criminal from using it to serve his evil purposes.
In the first book, he kidnaps Captain Holly Short of the LEPrecon, the police force of the fairies. He holds her for ransom to restore his family’s fortune. In the second book, he rescues his father from the Russian Mafia with the help of the fairies.
In Artemis Fowl And The Eternity Code, Artemis has created a supercomputer, C Cube, using stolen fairy technology. In the wrong hands, the machine could spell doom for both the human and the fairy worlds. But, Artemis thinks he has everything under control when he decides to show it to Chicago businessman Jon Spiro.
After he confides in Jon Spiro, everything that could go wrong, goes wrong. Jon Spiro is a greedy and ruthless businessman with Mafia connections. He arranges an ambush and steals the C Cube, killing Artemis's friend and bodyguard, Butler.
Now, Artemis has to turn to Holly Short, to help revive his friend and to get back the C Cube from Spiro before it is too late.
